Prior to formation of AFCIA, the founders organized the following exhibitions of contemporary Iranian paintings in U.S.

2002
“Out of the Mist,” an exhibition of contemporary Iranian paintings, held at the Don O’Melveny Gallery in Los Angeles.

2003
“Echoes in Blue,” a touring exhibition of contemporary Iranian paintings. The exhibition was held at the National Arts Club in New York in April 2003 and at the Williams Tower gallery in Houston in November-December 2003.

2003-2004
“Echoes in Blue,” a vibrant exhibition of the works of fifteen contemporary Iranian artists was held at the Williams Tower Gallery in Houston.

2004
“Echoes in Blue,” two parallel exhibitions in the Boston area. A group exhibition at the Depot Square gallery in Lexington and an individual exhibition of the works of Hossein Khosrojerdi at the Crane Collection gallery in Wellesley.

2006
“Echoes in Blue,” an exhibition of contemporary Iranian paintings was held at the Don O’Melveny gallery in Los Angeles.
