Echoes in Blue is returning to Los Angeles

AFCIA is planning the Echoes in Blue exhibition to be held in Los Angeles in Spring of 2010.

Echoes in Blue is the name of a touring exhibition of the work of Iranian artists who currently live and work in Iran. The origin of the name “Echoes in Blue” is in a poem by Forough Farrokhzad, Iran’s leading woman poet (1933-1967). In the poem she refers to “the night Isfahan was filled with the echoes of blue tile.”

Echoes in Blue celebrates the vitality and diversity of contemporary Iranian paintings as they have emerged over the last three decades in spite of strict economical, social, and political constraints.

Echoes in Blue is returning to L.A. after a few years of silence, which followed its successful exhibitions in New York, Houston, Boston, and Los Angeles.
