Homa Taraji
Ms. Homa Taraji is president of Paradi Corporation, a
fine arts company based in Los Angeles with focus on contemporary
Iranian art. Since 2002, Paradi has organized successful exhibitions
of contemporary Iranian paintings in Los Angeles, New York, Houston
and Boston. Ms. Taraji has established working relationship with art
galleries in Tehran and a broad base of artists whose work she
represents in the U.S.
Ms. Taraji is co-founder of the American Foundation for Contemporary
Iranian Art (AFCIA, February 2004), a non-profit organization for
promotion of contemporary Iranian art in the U.S. In parallel with
art, Ms, Taraji has been providing consulting in Aerospace and
Information Technology.
Prior to founding Paradi, Ms. Taraji was the Manager of Information
Systems at the Getty Museum. Before that, she held the position of
IT Senior Manager at Ernst & Young Management Consulting.
Ms. Taraji has had an extended career in the aerospace industry. She
has held senior positions at The Aerospace Corporation working on
satellite communication systems. Prior to Aerospace, Ms. Taraji was
with General Electric Information Services as a project manager
developing financial applications and databases in New York and Los
Angeles.
Ms. Taraji started her career as a software engineer at NASA Jet
Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena working on Viking and Voyager
missions to Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
Ms. Taraji holds a B.S. degree in Physics and an M.S. in Electronics
from Tehran University and an M.S. in Computer Science from the
University of Southern California. She has been the recipient of
NASA Group Achievement Award for Voyager, Goddard Trophy, Milstar
Recognition Award and several GE technical awards.
